SI Web Apps allows users to post messages either as main messages or as a response to message in the discussion forums. SI Web Apps allows candidates searching for jobs to create resumes as per the format defined by Silicon India or paste their resume in their format and submit it to Silicon India. All submitted resumes are stored in a database. Advertisers/companies searching for candidates can register with Silicon India by paying a nominal registration fee to access the resume database. Registered advertisers/companies can log into the application and provide search criteria to receive resumes from Silicon India matching their requirements. Advertisers/companies can also view resumes on-line by specifying a search criterion and can select resumes to be sent. Perl-CGI packages were created for an on-line discussion forum and job section. The UI screens were created using HTML.
